Before the child Jesus was born, an angel visited Mary and foretold of Jesus’ birth.  Amazed and even a little frightened, Mary abided by God’s wish for her to give birth and deliver into this world a child so pure that all its needs would be fulfilled from above. 

Teachers, scholars, and Bible readers worldwide have understood that the birth of Jesus was foretold by the angel Gabriel, but what they haven’t understood is that the birth of every baby on Earth has been foretold by Gabriel, as well.

But because Jesus’ mother was of pure heart, she heard Gabriel’s whispers and saw his image as he told her of her passageway into the world of the miraculous where she would provide the first home for the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

Today, most parents pray for a child and then wonder when one will come.  Most hope it will look a certain way or turn out to become someone of influence.  What Mary did that most parents fail to do was to gift her life completely to God, knowing it provided God’s gifts back to her.

This Christmas day give the greatest gift of all: become your child’s sainted parent by gifting your life to God, thereby allowing God to gift back to you your greatest gift: your child reborn through love, not fear or sin.
