Q: What’s the best way to handle angry people?
A: Instead of getting angry back, smile (without a smirk) and shrug as though you have no clue why they’re so hostile. When Jesus spoke about turning the other cheek, he did not mean we should run from immediate danger or shirk our moral obligations to support our country’s needs in times of war. What he did mean was to teach us to stand down bullies by not allowing them to get the better of us. Before a country goes to war, don’t you want that nation’s leaders to first look into every option for peace? It’s the same with individuals. Before you take on the war within yourself by teaching another a lesson they’ll soon not forget, try peace first and then let go. Invitations are going out for those who turn situations of war into opportunities for peace. For those who trust in peace, best serve God and all mankind – even those who opt for war.
