Q: Can you explain the Lord’s Supper?
A: The Lord’s Supper is an exquisite representation of mankind’s need to feed the soul; to once again receive the fruits of wisdom and grace offered through the Garden of Eden. For while mankind comes to the table to feast each day, mankind’s soul (that aching part of the body that feels starved and neglected) goes without.
Love is the soul’s overcoat with need as its driving force. So while the soul sits in wait as a man or woman dines on their meal, the soul feasts upon its driving need to go home and feel The Light. It feels starved until the man or woman gives back their body to Christ to be HEALED. In asking his Heavenly Father how mankind could feed its soul, Jesus Christ assembled those lives whose need it was to feed and drink from the well of wisdom and grace. Jesus drew close to him his disciples. At the LAST SUPPER, Jesus’ need to be remembered become their own, and the disciples’ need to be forgiven became his own.
“This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me” Luke 22:19 For those assembled, the gift of grace AND wisdom was bestowed upon them for their eyes AND hearts. For million’s more, the Lord’s Supper IS the Last Supper as it continues to ask that those who need to remember Jesus and keep him alive, seek his blessings through the covenant of the sacrament of bread and wine. “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you” Luke 22:20 Come to your table every meal asking that the body and blood of Jesus Christ come into yours through his blessings upon your food. Sense Jesus eating beside you as he graces your table with his wisdom and love. Assemble your loved ones and give thanks to God for the image of a leader of peace who taught that forgiveness is our saving grace. And remember, need is important when it’s driven by the soul of love.
