Q: Is hell truly eternal?
A: The fast answer is no because nothing except God’s love is eternal. However, the reversal of eternal damnation does not always constitute redemption. It may mean for millions a separation from the love of God which is felt as hell because it is an exile from paradise. Hell is a place built by mankind. It is a place without bars yet is infinitely stronger because it is built by fear and/or the reluctance to come to God for help or love. It is the construct of destructive behaviors that tear down other persons, races, religions or even self. It entraps, suffocates, smothers, crucifies and cinders all who are captivated by the power of persuasion over the power of love. It denies the love God has placed within all to share with all. And without mercy, hell keeps ensnaring those who ask God over and over to teach and punish those they decide are not to their liking or approval.
Remember, The Lord Jesus Christ has an option for all those who believe in his disappearance and reappearance (in his death and resurrection), the miracle of also being reborn! Jesus took back all that we call revenge and hatred. Back to each sinner and asked them to repent. For Jesus knew that inside the power of forgiveness lies the atomic power of God’s love - eternal love - that splits the atom and all that is destructive from all that is constructive with the measurable residue or fallout of forgiveness...which is MORE LOVE! Seek forgiveness today and watch the hands of time reverse all that seems like the rapidly advancing hands of the doomsday clock. Watch for the glory of God to come in and fill those holes in your life which you call worries and fear. Your better life is ahead!
