Q: Kerry or Bush. Is one of these men better for the needs of America, the global community and the planet?

A: The Camp David Accords - the peace agreements between Egypt and Israel reached decades ago through the efforts of Jimmy Carter - began a new era of peace through diplomacy vs. military action and reaction. But that diplomatic path was broken when the U.S. began its anti-terrorist program of pre-emptive strikes in the Middle East.

This warring action - which took Bush almost no time to undertake even before 911 - started the ball rolling toward a Bush administration bent on world diplomacy through ‘might makes right’ which is in reverse to the American song of freedom for all to choose their own destiny.

Combating peace, however, are the terrorists. They incite and invite violence wherever they are able and in their efforts to destabilize military powers they are winning the war on terrorism through fear.

• By winning the war on terrorism through heightening fears and military actions, the Bush administration can concentrate its efforts on the global occupation of nations with natural resources benefiting America’s picture of the bigger the better. (This is being played out visually as the fattening of America.)

• By reducing the consumer appetite for more and more, the Kerry administration satiates the buying power of the United States and reduces the global friction of ‘might makes right’. He combats the image and the relevance of the mighty nation that strikes the fear of God into other nations.

Treat each candidate with respect and remember they are all that Americans have asked them to be: polar opposites. Why would it be that a nation with the credo, “Under God, one nation, with liberty and justice for all,” should be so polarized? How can it be Americans can see two men of equal strength and not feel their promise of either peace through diplomacy or war through the terrorist’s agenda?

If Jesus is your God, forgive George Bush for all his leadership charisma with warring words and take him into The Light for Kerry shall be elected and heralded in as America’s new hope as a good neighbor and leader of peace and diplomacy.

Love & Light,

LYNN SCOTT
