Q: Please give me tools to help me succeed at my New Year’s resolution.
A: Before anything else you have to know if your New Year’s resolution is something YOU really want or something you think you should want, for those who do not put their heart into a goal most often stumble, fall and eventually quit. For instance, if you have an addiction, ask your heart why it is addicted to that cause. Your heart knows why it favors that behavior and why - even at its own risk and peril - it battles to continue that behavior. Then feel for your heart’s rhythm as you listen for the answer. Chances are it will slow down and nearly come to a crawl as it attempts to come clean with those reasons why it allows bad behavior to be in the driver’s seat. After you have listened to your heart and heard its choir of reasons for that bad behavior, tell your heart that your mind’s behavior has been the sole (soul) reason for presenting these misguided reasons to punish your heart for caring too much about those needs and wants you have deep down inside. Once your heart feels that you know of its secret desires to live a long, healthy, loving and prosperous life, it will begin the process of willing you to go backwards in time – spiritually – until you rescind your beliefs that you deserve punishment for having the incredible wish to be loved by a God so pure as to never punish you again. For those of you who have battled addictions of any sort – food, alcohol, drugs – believe in the process of producing the ultimate reason to your heart why GOD wants you to be happy, healthy, loving and prosperous. Produce for your heart the reasons why this is the year you allow the God of Love, Jesus, to come into your heart and sustain it with his heart of salvation, which always keeps it in favor of health, prosperity and family unity. Remember, the tortoise ran the same race as the hare but saw so much more! Open your eyes and believe in the reasons why God wants you to succeed at everything that makes your heart sing. Become the man or woman you know God created you to become. Become LOVE! Believe and be saved,
