A: Hope is everywhere now. There is at last hope in abundance on our shores whereas before Katrina the body of America was being torn apart by the war in Iraq. In each warring position – proponent vs. opponent – the increasing tide of opinion that swept the nation’s psyche also pressed hard on the American heart.

Now, with Katrina’s winds exhausted, the outpouring of neighborly love has restored the heart of Americans as nothing before. During the war in Viet Nam, combat troops came home to hearts and homes that were broken. While the nation’s divide back then came quickly, the months and years it took to repair those soldiers’ hearts and minds came slowly.

Love is something that shall always come when called. When this nation’s capital was under siege in the 911 attack and our nation’s leaders sought ways to fight terrorism through the Homeland Security Act, what was really needed was to mend our own hearts in order that we can help our own soldiers be set free from their prisons.

Believe in the power of prayer. It saves even nations.

“What can I do to help the victims?”

Pray for peace, plant a tree in remembrance of those who died, and start a relief fund. Ask your friends, family and co-workers to please share from their HEARTS whatever they are able. This is a powerful sentiment which helps to heal both those who witnessed the hurricane first hand, as well as those who witnessed it via the media.

Believe in the heart of Jesus as your heart! Breath in his life force and feel set free! Strengthen your heart through the voice of compassion and peace and wisdom will guide you into The Light of Love, forevermore!
