Q: Why do so many people have bad backs, even seemingly fit people? How can a bad back best be healed?

A: As a human being begins to walk upright there is a constant tugging and pulling to bring them down called gravity. And when a man or woman has a decision to make that they keep delaying, they harbor that pressure in their back. The longer the decision remains pushed back, the harder gravity pulls on that disc or discs in order to give them something to think about.

As a person reaches the age of maturity (35 in most cases), they take on a select way of looking at life. If they take their time in speaking their truth - via wisdom and compassion - they remain in alignment with Earth in a healthy manner through the support of their spinal column. But if they delay in making decisions or postpone feeling their own voice of reason tempered with compassion, they stand on oppositional legs. This means that for those who have not found their voice of reason and compassion, their spinal column curves and collapses and they favor the leg that aggravates their already rocky position.

Bear in mind, though, that if that person has a desire to be strong WITH compassion, they can remedy this aging problem beginning that moment. If they desire to be heart driven – that is to say feel that they can say or do whatever they need to say or do so long as it comes from their heart – then their need to stand on the oppositional leg will release.

EXERCISE: Each morning stretch upwards as high as possible with your arms above your head for at least two minutes. This restores the lower back’s need to feel gravity released in a forward fashion.

TRY: Eat standing up sometimes. Tilt forward just slightly as if to look at your meal from above. As you do this you are enabling your stomach muscles to hold you in a firm yet comfortable position all the while loosening your back muscles via your digestive system. After you have completed the meal, lie down for a few minutes to allow the gastric juices and enzymes time to release and relate to the absorbed microscopic tongue juices (your saliva) which together produce just the right combination for your back and stomach to comfortably digest your meals and keep your stomach from protruding forward in order to accommodate all that you consumed.

Believe in the power you have to stand tall and speak your peace with love and compassion. Postpone nothing that feels important to you. Commit to your health and be HEALED!
