Q: How do you choose between ‘an eye for an eye’ vs. ‘turn the other cheek’ since the Bible speaks of each?
A: There is always only one choice when The Lord Jesus Christ is with you, Do unto others as you would have done unto you. If you follow this fellowship you will never stray into uncharted territory where you don’t know what to do. Throughout your life you have had many situations that called for your ideas and reasons for taking action. Believe in each of those occasions as golden opportunities where you learned whether your choice made you feel greater and happier as a human being or smaller and more desperate. When you believe in your choices eventually you believe in yourself! As each lesson comes and you come to your heart for the choice of, What would I wish for as an outcome here, you not only treat others as your equal, you embrace Jesus’ calling to become a beacon of peace, for no where in the Bible does God ask you to choose death or annihilation. Be still each day for at least ten seconds and ask for The Spirit of The Lord Jesus Christ to come over you. As you believe in his spirit as a force of living light, your mind and body absorb his ions of humility and grace along with his wisdom and courage. Together, your mind and body will alter its course of action to bring to you more and more situations with less and less stress and aggravation, for Jesus prays for your salvation AND your freedom from the plane of Earth where temptations come to choose death or fear as any option. Because The Lord Jesus Christ carried you with him up to Heaven when first he rose from his tomb, he already has the place for you waiting to be filled beside him. Sense his presence each day as you ask to feel his Spirit. Within a month you will feel his favor upon you as if you never left his side. Love and be loved, LYNN SCOTT |
