Q: I believe in God. But, is there really a devil?
A: As you walk into The Light you can sense for yourself that in almost every situation throughout your life there has been a crossroad where something tried to persuade you to try something unhealthy, unkind, selfish or pitiful. All are potent phases of human behavior; each is a betrayal of love. The life of Jesus was born of love – of the soul of love - and is felt each moment within each human being who asks what unselfish act they may reach out and do to touch another and promote the creation of more love. Fear, however, is what the devil uses to stop millions of God’s children from reaching out. Fear, anger, revenge, blame, jealousy, resentment, pity, greed, lust, power, hate and all other bars of hell that keep one trapped inside of death. Each is a tactic and an excuse wielded by the devil – by the soul of darkness – which is so void of love that it comes in uninvited even if only the smallest crack exists. The primary colors you see on Earth are Jesus’ promise to every human being that within you exists the ability to release the death of your soul. For as you see and rejoice in the colors of the rainbow, your soul extracts from its waking days those moments and events that have you trapped inside the space of fear (with its loathsome agents: anger, revenge, blame, jealousy, resentment, pity, greed, lust, hate, etc.) and have sent you into the mind of self-doubt or self-loathing. As Jesus walked the Earth he felt the temptations that ‘the void of love’ offered human beings. He felt the sorrow delivered by those souls in their final hours and he suffered as he felt their anguish. Superior or inferior, all human beings are equal in their final hours: they either blame or choose peace. There is a devil. It is always awake and aware of any moment in which you might not believe in the joy, the love, the goodness, or the peace which is always there for you to be in partnership with. It preys upon your mind to believe in little else beyond yourself, and justifies all that argues you from your life of love. Devil or darkness, each is one. Each is ‘the void of love’. The temptation to be a heady or lofty person is also a warrior of ‘the dark’ for it separates the mind from the heart. Be free from fear’s evil grip. Envy no one and besmirch nothing. Treat everyone you meet as you would if Jesus were by your side - because if you truly love him, he is! Love and Light, LYNN SCOTT |
