Q: What is purgatory? With the war in Iraq escalating, I wonder about this place called purgatory. In an old TV episode of M*A*S*H, Father Mullcahey said, “The only positive thing about our time here in Korea is that someday when God says you have to do time in purgatory, you can honestly say, “I already have.”
A: Purgatory is a plane of intent. It takes the man or woman to the place where they deemed they should go, even if for only a brief period of time. So many times a person says to themselves, “I haven’t any reason for being,” or, “I should never have been born.” When they do such a thing they have created – for healing purposes – a space in time where they are to rebirth themselves through love. However, the intent factor takes into account all that the soul has to account for, for if in the life of a soul they felt they needed to see conflict play itself out, it has a place to do so. So Earth itself reveals this Spirit plane where evil and love can play itself out for the soul to see and be seen. Be prepared, for the Earth’s surface will not remain in this space of life much longer. More and more of Earth’s children are concerning themselves with hunger and loneliness, and fewer and fewer see the future as bright. God has a plan. The wonder of the love of The Light will lift all who call, through God, to carry Earth to the plane of peace. Soon the light of love will purge the necessary plane of evil vs. love, so that those who choose darkness over light will eliminate themselves – for the darkness always consumes itself. Such is the nature of destruction: it always destroys itself. Love & Light, LYNN SCOTT |
